AirMotion Sciences is in contract with the Commonwealth of MA

Boston, MA (March 28, 2017) - AirMotion Sciences, Inc. is pleased to announce entering into a statewide contract with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to supply 9ft to 24ft HVLS (High Volume Low Speed) Fans to the State’s many entities, agencies, counties and over 350 cities and towns.

AirMotion was selected as the only successful bidder to offer products under the State’s Category 10 - Environmentally Preferable Products. Through this category the State was seeking manufacturers and suppliers of innovative, energy efficient, water efficient, less toxic, or otherwise environmentally preferable products and technologies that have demonstrated documented environmental benefits. Products of successful bidders were evaluated for environmental benefits, potential of wide use by Eligible Entities, innovative or emerging technology, and different from existing product offerings.

“Massachusetts is a leader in the efforts to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gases. We have been fortunate to work closely with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center under their MassDeploy program where they have carefully reviewed the features and energy saving benefits of our Big Smart Fans™”, states Peter Caruso, AirMotion’s Founder and CEO. “Mass CEC’s support of our efforts in addition to their rigorous analysis of our fans no doubt helped us ensure we were offering the right kind of solutions needed throughout the Commonwealth. The bid process was quite extensive so we are very pleased to have been selected.”

Made in Massachusetts, AirMotion Big Smart fans are one of the Smartest Ways to Go Green when energy conservation and cost savings are important. Their innovative designs allow large facilities to move and mix massive amounts of air more effectively and efficiently than other solutions - one fan can cover up to 25,000 square feet and more. They provide evaporative cooling relief in summer, heat destratification warmth and energy savings in colder seasons, and supplement other HVAC equipment, including A/C, to provide better air circulation and ventilation, all while reducing energy usage and related costs significantly.

The Company’s Patented Big Smart VPT™ HVLS fans feature Variable Pitch Technology to control fan blade pitch angles from 0 to 20 degrees up and down, Rotatair™ composite blades shaped for lower turbulence and higher air movement efficiency, and MultiMode Smart controls for manual to fully automatic operation. Their compact size in 9’ to 15’ diameters provides as much or better air movement with much greater versatility than larger competing HVLS fans.

AirMotion’s recently introduced Big Smart MPT™ HVLS fans in 12’ to 24’ diameters feature Massive Performance Technology engineered with innovative and robust 3 HP power units, symmetrical extruded aluminum blades, AirMotion’s proprietary MultiMode Smart controls, and move up to 3 times as much air - Up and Down - as competing brands.

AirMotion Big Smart Fans are ideal for DPW garages, maintenance facilities, school gymnasiums, air hangars, storage and distribution centers, commercial centers, manufacturing operations, agricultural and other large facilities, where they provide quicker paybacks - typically 1 to 3 years - and higher ROI than other green solutions.

AirMotion Sciences Introduces Powerful New Line of 16' - 24' HVLS Fans

Fans Provide Energy Savings and Enhanced Facility Comfort

Boston, MA (Labor Day 2016) - AirMotion Sciences, Inc., maker of patented 9’ - 15’ HVLS (High Volume Low Speed) fans known as Big Smart Fans™, is pleased to introduce its new line of 16’ - 24’ HVLS Fans, to be known as their Big Simple Fans™.

Both lines of AirMotion’s HVLS fans have small, highly energy efficient motors, and are used for cooling, heat de-stratification, ventilation, and as alternatives to air conditioning in large facilities. These innovative industrial ceiling fans offer improved performance over traditional HVLS fans, but with much greater versatility, to reduce energy costs and environmental stress, while enhancing comfort and productivity.

The Big Simple Fans are lower cost, larger in size, and come with simpler features, all in a powerful yet compact and lightweight package. While providing all the energy savings and comfort benefits HVLS fans are known for, the Big Simple Fans move and mix up to twice as much air as competing HVLS fans.

"Our design brief was simple" states AirMotion Founder & CEO Peter Caruso, "engineer a completely new HVLS fan that moves and mixes massive amounts of air, is cost competitive, has a compact and light weight power unit, enables air to be moved equally effectively up or down, is built robustly, and uses some of the innovative technology from our Big Smart fans."

"We worked closely with the engineers at Lenze Americas to come up with the ideal combination of motor and gear reducer to meet our needs" comments VP of Engineering David Fischer. "The quality and workmanship of the gear motor package, coupled with its elegance and power, is just what we were looking for!"

This new line of Big Simple Fans feature 3 HP motors, aluminum gear reducers, carefully matched Variable Frequency Drives, and makes use of the Company’s proprietary control software in its low voltage fan controllers to allow manual to fully automatic operation using built in temperature sensors. In addition, continuing AirMotion’s innovative approach to blade and hub design, the Big Simple Fans have powerful extruded aluminum blades and pitch angles that were carefully engineered for their effectiveness in blowing air equally well upwards and downwards with low turbulence and maximum impact.

AirMotion’s original Big Smart Fans are known for their industry ground-breaking Variable Pitch Technology (VPT™), which enables their Rotatair™ composite blades to be adjusted 0 to 20 degrees, up or down, while the fan is operating. Coupled with AirMotion’s proprietary MultiMode Control Capability, users have the versatility to operate their Big Smart HVLS fans manually to fully automatically for the most effective and efficient air movement performance in their facility.

Says Caruso - "We continue to break HVLS fan ground with our Big Simple Fans. Their power and effectiveness in moving and mixing massive volumes of air to reduce energy costs while improving comfort in large spaces will be difficult to match!"

AirMotion Sciences Introduces New Features to AltAir™ HVLS Fans

Fans Provide Immediate Energy Conservation Payback

Boston, MA (November 11, 2008) - AirMotion Sciences, Inc. recently announced the addition of ‘MultiMode Control Capability’ to their AltAir High Volume - Low Speed (HVLS) industrial ceiling fans (Patent Pending). AirMotion's big fans have been specifically designed to improve facility environments while conserving the use of costly energy resources by moving air more effectively and efficiently than other solutions. Compared to solar, wind, and many other Green energy technologies, the energy conservation pay back benefits of AirMotion AltAir fans begin immediately and are realized quickly.

AirMotion’s HVLS fans are 9 to 15 ft in diameter, have small, highly energy efficient motors, and are used for cooling, heat de-stratification, ventilation, and as alternatives to air conditioning in large facilities. AltAir HVLS fans offer the performance of larger fans, but with much greater versatility, to reduce energy costs and environmental stress, while enhancing comfort and productivity.

AirMotion’s Next Generation HVLS fans already feature industry ground-breaking Variable Pitch Technology (VPT™), which enables their Rotatair™ composite blades to be adjusted 0 to 20 degrees, up or down, while the fan is operating. With their latest development, the proprietary capability to run AltAir fans in multiple modes, AirMotion Sciences’ engineers have further improved upon their next generation of HVLS fans -

“This MultiMode capability puts users in control of how the fan operates, taking full advantage of our fans’ versatility”, says Peter Caruso, founder and CEO of AirMotion Sciences.

“Users can create what we refer to as Adjustable Air Movement in their facilities. When three or more AltAir HVLS fans are arranged in an array, it allows for what we call optimal CFM - Complete Facility Movement of air, a capability exclusive to AirMotion Sciences’ fans.

“We are building our Next Generation HVLS Fans to last, providing benefits now and for future generations. Just as importantly, we are bringing to market a critical tool for industry that results in immediate energy conservation and cost savings”, according to Caruso. “In other words, users of our fans can ‘Have Comfort While Conserving Energy.’”

AirMotion Sciences Announces its Fans For Trees Program

Boston, MA (October 30, 2007) - AirMotion Sciences, Inc. announces the introduction of its Fans For Trees Program. For each AirMotion HVLS fan purchased in North America, the Company will have 10 trees planted in a US National Forest previously damaged by fire, disease, or insects. Similar tree plantings will occur on a worldwide basis for its international customers.

“We have a tag line on our web site and brochure that says 'Green in many ways'. This further substantiates this fundamental aspect of our business” states Peter Caruso, AirMotion’s Founder & CEO. “Besides the energy savings and resultant environmental benefits provided by the fans, and the related cost savings to generate significant greenbacks, we have instituted this program to plant Douglas fir and lodgepole pine trees. Part of our company’s mission is for us to leave the world a little better than we found it. This program will help us do that.”

“We know our customers recognize the value of our products’ benefits to their productivity and energy efficiency efforts” says Caruso. “At the same time, we think they will also appreciate being recognized for having some trees planted in their name. There’s a reason they call these magnificent trees evergreen - over the course of many decades, a single tree can generate enormous amounts of clean oxygen, provide significant air pollution control, recycle large volumes of fresh water, and control damaging soil erosion. Our customers get to do some good while doing well for years to come.”
